Scout BSA Troop 682 is a welcoming community for girls between the ages of 11 and 17 who are interested in participating in scouting activities under the Scouting America program. The troop troop emphasizes personal growth and character development, aiming to help young women become active and engaged adults. The program provides opportunities for scouts to pursue their individual goals, such as working toward the prestigious Eagle Scout rank, and encourages outdoor adventures.
The troop places a strong focus on outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, and skiing, creating a fun and dynamic environment for participants. Whether you're passionate about the outdoors or just curious to try new experiences, Troop 682 offers a supportive space for girls to explore these activities while growing in leadership, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
If you're interested, Troop 682 invites you to join our weekly meetings to learn more, meet fellow scouts, and see if the program aligns with your interests and goals.

How Troop 682 and its name came to be...
In August of 2018, a small group of girls eagerly wanted to begin their scouting journey. With the support of some brave volunteers, they began as an Explorer Club. These young explorers decided they needed unit numbers. With much consideration, they came up with the idea to take all the numbers from the three Boy Scout troops in the town and mix them up to create their own number that ultimately would link them to each boys' troop. After many combinations, the girls cleverly created 682: 6 from Troop 186, 8 from Troop 880, and 2 from Troop 62.
In addition, the numbers are represented for the 6 original members who started in August (represents the 8) and launched officially as a Scouts BSA Troop in February (represents the 2).
